Amazing place its more like a bar-lounge area. Staffs were friendly and nice. Alcoholic drinks are strong and tasty. Even if u come by yourself they have a life sized teddy bear to accompany you which is kinda cute would come back here again

History breathes beneath the floorboards and inside the walls of this beautiful bar at the Sofitel smack in the middle of the Central Business District. As a nod to the rich maritime history of the area around the hotel, this luxe bar was named 1864 after the year the historic Tanjong Pagar Dock Company was founded, and it evokes equal parts modern luxury and old-world glamour.

Start your day with a leisurely breakfast while observing the comings and goings of the lobby. Come back at lunchtime for indulgent French classics and refreshing drinks; or take a break from shopping and sightseeing with a decadent afternoon tea. Discover 10 thoughtfully composed sweet and savoury creations paired with signature elixirs, where chocolate reveals itself in both delicate and indulgent forms. Highlights include the Matcha Chocolate Mousseline with ginger and pickled pear, alongside the velvety Ivoire Chocolate Crèmeux layered with tropical passionfruit and pineapple. Richer expressions emerge through the intense Chocolate Roulade crafted with Valrhona Guanaja 70% dark chocolate, as well as savoury creations such as Braised Pork with Black Pepper & Mocha Emulsion and Cocoa Nib Crusted Madeira Cured Foie Gras.

Experience beyond the table with exclusive bi-weekly Saturday demonstration sessions led by Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s pastry chefs. Through intimate live demonstrations and interactive hands-on experiences, discover the artistry, techniques and inspirations behind selected pastries from the afternoon tea. Each demonstration session lasts approximately one hour and is available at an additional $12++ per person, with the first class beginning on 18 July 2026. Participants will also receive a complimentary handcrafted chocolate bar to take home, while stocks last.
