    After reading positive reviews, i have chosen this restaurant to celebrate my partner’s birthday. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food was not impressive—our porterhouse steak, although ordered medium rare, was chewy, and the bottom was overly charred, making it feel like eating beef jerky. The side dishes were good, but they couldn’t make up for the main course. Service was lacking, with only two staff members handling a fairly busy Monday crowd. I had also mentioned that it was my partner’s birthday in my reservation but there was no acknowledgment or special gesture such as a cake. We ordered tea and a cappuccino, but the cappuccino was particularly bad—the milk tasted stale and there was barely any coffee flavor. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and we won’t be returning.

    Atmosphere at the Velvet's Cut is calm and chill. A good place to dine for intimate celebrations and/or gathering. Definitely will return.
