Executive Pastry Chef
With over a decade of experience under his belt, Malaysian-born Chef Kent Ng who joined Mandarin Oriental, Singapore in 2014, now oversees pastry operations, develops seasonal highlights through premium ingredients, and creates memorable experiences through exquisite desserts while adhering to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

At the age of 19, he was attracted to the world of pastry after a stint in a service industry. His foray then began in Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur as a trainee and continued in Tanglin Club and Carlton Hotel Singapore, where he continued his quest of perfecting his pastry-making techniques.

Notable achievements he has bagged include representing Singapore numerous times in regional and international pastry competitions, such as Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie as a team manager to the Singapore Pastry Team, Gelato World Cup and Asia Pastry Cup. He has also clinched Gold awards for dessert competitions in FHM Culinaire Singapore and Malaysia. (Jun 2024)
