An award-winning and dynamic specialty coffee concept from Hong Kong, The Coffee Academïcs is pioneering a new wave of coffee concepts – where boundaries are pushed, blends are perfected and beans are brought to flavourful life, all within the most stylish and social of café backdrops. Sourcing world-class coffee beans with a score of 92 to 94 points by the World Coffee Review – a “Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate” of the coffee world – their beans have achieved the distinct honour of being ranked highest in Asia and top three in the world. Launched in 2015, The Coffee Academïcs is pioneering a new wave of coffee stores in Singapore– where guests can experience a whole new level of dining with an intricate cup of coffee alongside globally-inspired menu offerings.

The smell of freshly roasted coffee hits you as soon as you step into this swish spot, but that’s not the only reason you should come here - their menu is just as enticing as their beverages. Try the Academics Breakfast - it includes every component of a classic American breakfast, but better. Think Maple Bacon, Bockwurst Pork Sausages, and scrambled eggs so creamy they melt in your mouth. For something more wholesome, try the Umami pasta - this dish pays tribute to our garden city by incorporating the familiar local flavour of Hay Bi Hiam (Spicy dried shrimp sambal) into this pasta dish.

Coffee enthusiasts will love seven stations at the Pedder on Scotts outlet. There’s a station for views into the open kitchen where the food is prepared, and a Hand Brew Bar where customers can sit and enjoy hand brewed coffees of single origin. Diners who prefer leaves to beans will love the Tea Academïcs station, where they can enjoy a selection of curated teas. (Jan 2021)
