    I had the premium buffet and felt the 3 cuts wagyu beef really not appetising. The beef smells pretty strong with a not nice smell actually and it’s quite tough too. Not worth the price of $120 after gst and service charge per person. It should be a $70 buffet price tag.

    The beef advertised and listed on the menu was wagyu A3/A4 on the premium buffet menu, but the ones served to us tasted nothing like that. It does not taste nor have the texture of wagyu beef. Colour of beef was not a nice deep red but instead close to brown colour which suggest meat has been kept for a long time and is not fresh. The grill itself was very dirty, even prior to us using, the oil below the non stick paper was dark brown. It’s also the first bbq restaurant that uses non stick paper on top of the grill. When the grill needs a change, instead of changing the whole grill like other restaurants, only the paper was changed. Service staff is also not attentive and we had to call out for dishes to be cleared and paper to be changed. The food, service and cleanliness is not expected of a place where I am paying $100 per pax.

    Description

    The pet project of owner-operator, this restaurant specialises in Wagyu Beef Yakiniku, and is one of the hidden gems of Singapore’s thriving Japanese restaurant scene. From his humble beginnings in Japan as a dishwasher to a chef of a yakiniku chain, he has come a long way, and the expertise he gained reflects in his menu of beloved Japanese classics.

    There is a range of barbecue meats on offer at this restaurant, although the main draw is the wagyu meat. The wagyu here is Kagoshima and Hokkaido wagyu, which is one of the most exquisite cuts of beef available in Japan. The Salmon Belly, Sea Bream, and Tuna are also popular sashimi options.

    The crisp Ebi-Fry is a Japanese staple, and perfect for sharing. The Soft-Shell Crab is another popular dish. A whole crab battered and deep-fried, this dish is good to share but can also be enjoyed by one hungry diner. (Oct 2018)
