    Our order was missed out and not served until we asked for it. I believed that under the Amex love dinning, I will be entitled to 50% discount for two pax dining. However, the waitress insisted that it’s only 15% discount which was not right. Rather disappointing in the whole experience.

    Personally, I do not like the interior of the restaurant. Some seats were too glaring. Those in the inside the lights are too red. What most annoying is the service. The attending waiter and waitresses do not make us feel as welcome as a restaurant of this standard. The greatest disappointment was when the machine cannot process our credit card during payment, the restaurant insist is our fault, which apparently we found out is the restaurant machine fault, we do not even get a word of apology. Anyway, I do not think I will ever visit again

    Description

    "Are the dishes 'Sichuan spicy' or 'normal spicy'?" we asked. The restaurant's management staff replied, "Sichuan spicy!" Normally we would discount that reply as pure marketing trickery, but after trying the dishes for ourselves, we were instant believers.

    Welcome to Si Chuan Dou Hua, bringing you authentic Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine from its perch on the top floor of UOB Plaza 1. Complete with chefs imported in from Sichuan and Hong Kong in addition to martial arts-and-dance-trained traditional tea pourers from Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, this place is as real as it gets, folks!

    Although there are three outlets in Singapore, each boasting a different menu that caters to a specific clientele, the UOB location is best known for its 30% Sichuan and 70% Cantonese split menu. This makes it ideal for hosting clients since it's probably best to avoid the faux pas of entertaining guests while drenched in a fearsome chili-induced sweat.

    In addition to abalone-themed set meals and Sichuan-style high tea, the restaurant also features an expansive list of high end teas imported from various regions in China. (Oct 2012)
