    Food was creative and excellent, thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu with a balanced touch of Asian sensibilities and western pomp. Wine recommended by Wolf paired very well with the tasting menu; would definitely recommend this place for anyone who just wants to enjoy good food in an unpretentious setting.

    The black pepper wagyu steak was insanely spicy, and not in a good warm peppery way, more like chili padi malat way. It was borderline inedible. Overheard a staff comment “well it’s black pepper” when feedback was given. The mushroom fricasee on the other hand was excellent. So was the kale salad and juicy grilled chicken breast. Side of fries could have used less salt. I can add if needed, but can’t do anything if it’s already too salty.

This new restaurant by Alvin Gho and Ian Lim (the team behind RVLT), designed in collaboration with legendary Danish design house Fritz Hansen, is all about food that’s unboxed, unclassified, and downright delicious. Borderless? Freestyle? Or just good food, plain and simple.

    At Revolution, the rulebook’s been thrown out the window, possibly flambéed and served with a side of fries. The menu is a no-holds-barred celebration of comfort food, twisted just enough to keep things exciting.

    Set in a calm, tactile interior, Revolution is what happens when modern design principles shack up with natural wine energy. A full-floor collab with Danish design icon Fritz Hansen, the space is sculptural, quietly confident, and let’s be honest, really, really good-looking.

    The vibe isn’t just about looking good, it’s about feeling good. Architecturally, it’s all about warmth and material honesty of wood, terracotta, and soft concrete in a palette that channels vineyard soil and fermenting must. Every detail has a role to play, from the refined curve of a chair leg to the soft glow of a table lamp. Nothing is loud, but everything speaks. Subtle gestures, layered textures, and quiet, expressive cues that honour the simple ritual of gathering around a table.

    Like natural wine, the space is rooted in craft, clarity, and connection to origin. It’s not just a restaurant. It’s a tactile, drinkable design manifesto, and it’s meant to be experienced. (Jul 2025)
