    I’ve been to the Racines many times over the years and service levels have definitely dropped this time round. Starters were served but plates were not given. We had to ask for it. Chinese dishes were served but again we had to call for the wait staff, this time to provide the appropriate cutlery. Attentiveness was very much lacking. The food was good except for the ngo hiang, which I find to be rather starchy.

    We were quite disappointed with the soufflé during our recent visit. The quality was inconsistent—it arrived with a watery texture, which led us to return it, despite the waiter relaying that the chef claimed this was the intended consistency. We’ve ordered the soufflé several times before and know this is not typical. After waiting over 20 minutes, the replacement was served with custard at the bottom, seemingly in an attempt to mask its flaws. Unfortunately, it still did not meet the standard we’ve come to expect.
