    Founded in 2011, Plain Vanilla continues to be a reminder that the simplest things in life are the most satisfying. A decade on, their methods are still time-honoured and foods comforting, made from scratch in small quantities and baked fresh daily with the best ingredients they can find. They have since opened its doors in six locations across Singapore alongside an Online Bakery, offering a range of familiar bakes, hearty mains and carefully-curated lifestyle products.

    Nestled amongst a row of shophouses along East Coast Road, Plain Vanilla’s newest home in the East offers its most extensive brunch menu, serving store-exclusive dishes such as Soft Boiled Eggs with Buttered Soldiers, Vine-Ripened Tomato Tartine and Penne Bolognese with Fresh Mozzarella. A full assortment of cupcakes and bakes, as well as a selection of local artwork and homewares, are also available.

    Alongside the easy-drinking Allpress Espresso Browns Mill Organic beans served at all their stores, Plain Vanilla East Coast also offers a decaffeinated blend and Single Origin beans on seasonal rotation for coffee enthusiasts who prefer a more indulgent and uplifting flavour profile. Diners can also savour refreshing cocktails conceptualised in-house or flavoursome craft beers from Brewlander, a homegrown premium craft beer label.

    A chamfered window display at the shopfront gives a glimpse of the day’s offerings and invites guests into a home-away-from-home decked with pebble-washed floors, alfresco lounge seating under skylights, a children's play area, and a drinking fountain for furry friends. Inspired by coastal sands, shophouses and the sunny skies of the East, Plain Vanilla welcomes friends and family to gather here among communal tables, architectural skylights, and homely lounge seating, as a restful stopover to and from the nearby shores of the sea, or to find some me-time comfort away from the bustle of the city.
