Description
Once upon a time, there were two friends, or more accurately two muchachos who shared a brotherly bond, who were united by their zealous passion for great food. One of them’s an alumni of Shatec, Singapore’s prominent hospitality school, and had worked in the kitchens of the Grand Hyatt and Tanglin Club. The other? Well, he found the burritos in Singapore incomparable to the burritos he had eaten more than four times a week while studying in the States. The two thus decided to join forces to set up Muchachos, a chic burrito bar serving up yummy San-Francisco style burritos, tacos, and quesadillas along the edgy Keong Saik Road.
Six years on, Muchachos sticks to the same philosophy: burritos from noon to midnight, and we are more than happy to oblige because the burritos here are really that good. We love the Carnitas burrito for its sinfully succulent pork cooked in its own fat. Packed with beans, rice, salsa, and five proteins of your choice, this is undeniably the burrito that trumps all burritos. If you enjoy a greater kick, choose from their selection of hot sauces to go with your burrito. For something quirky, the Breakfast Burrito, stuffed with hash browns, eggs, sausages, bacon, cheese, and sour cream, is a stellar option anytime of the day. To share, go for the Carne Asada Fries, your classic steak fries heaped with cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. Wash it all down with a refreshing Margarita Slushie to complete the meal and voila, here’s casual Mexican fare done well and right. (Nov 2016)

“The flour tortillas, which are sourced from a local tortilla factory, are steamed when ordered instead of grilled because grilling dehydrates the tortillas.” -SoShiok
