The restaurant's design pays homage to its Colombo flagship, featuring handcrafted Sri Lankan tiles, heliconia flower centrepieces, and an open kitchen.

    Helmed by acclaimed chef Dharshan Munidasa, whose Sri Lankan-Japanese heritage is apparent in his cooking, this eight-time Asia's 50 Best Restaurants honouree elevates crustaceans to art. Eschewing freezers entirely, the restaurant sources only wild-caught crabs, air-flown live from Sri Lankan waters three times a week. The result? A menu where freshness is non-negotiable, and flavours marry Japanese technique with Sri Lankan boldness.

    Star dishes include the Pure Crab, requiring a six-hour pre-order for its pristine, chilled-and-steamed simplicity - its sweet, firm flesh so sublime it needs no sauce. Equally iconic is the Garlic Chilli Crab, wok-fried with Italian olive oil, Japanese soy, and spice, best savoured with the restaurant's Kade Bread, a dense, charcoal-grilled loaf perfect for soaking up every drop of fragrant oil. Diners can customise their crab journey: opt for baked, steamed, or curry-bathed versions like the aromatic moringa-pandan leaf curry or the fiery Original Spicy Crab.
