    Had Christmas Eve at La Pristine. Overall, an underwhelming experience. Food was rather slow with long interval between each course with apologetic waiters serving bread during the prolonged intermission. Courses were bulked cooked. The Open kitchen concept wasn’t pleasing as the kitchen smell emanated through the restaurant reflecting poor kitchen ventilation. Food quality was above average but somehow still lacked a wow factor.

    Description

    Le Pristine at Grand Hyatt Singapore is set to be the crowning jewel of the iconic hotel. The highly-anticipated opening will bring a festive and energetic tribute to pure Italian flavours and Sergio Herman's Zeeland culinary heritage. It also marks Herman's debut in Southeast Asia.

    The restaurant will serve New Italian cuisine in a relaxed, casual fine dining setting. Herman first opened Le Pristine in Antwerp in 2020, which earned a Michelin star in its first year of operations. Just last year, Le Pristine opened in Tokyo and earned its place on the Michelin Guide Tokyo.

    Diners in Singapore can look forward to signature Le Pristine dishes, as well as new dishes with subtle Singapore inflections. Both a la carte and tasting menus are available. (Oct 2024)
