Founded by industry veteran Colin Chia & Group GM, Shelley Tai and named after the forgotten classic cocktail, Last Word is the latest project by the team at Nutmeg & Clove which aims to rekindle the romance of classic cocktails and serve simple Japanese favorite dishes.

Last Word is not meant to be a fancy cocktail bar with world-class designs but more like a home where we welcome you to enjoy cocktails, food, and most importantly their company.

All the classic cocktails are also inspired by the Japanese way of bartending which focuses on technique and precision while using the freshest ingredients and produce. The Classic Cocktail menu is divided into 4 sections: Highball, Sours, Spirit Forward and Champagne. There will also be a small section on the menu with no more than 5 drinks at any one time with more ingredient focussed drinks using produce that is of season.

The popular cocktails include their namesake Last Word $25++ (Hendrick’s Gin | Green Chartreuse | Maraschino Liqueur | Lime). The other crowd-pleaser would have to be the Bloody Mary $25++ which is totally different from the usual with the usage of fresh Japanese tomatoes, spices, and wasabi (Haku Vodka |Fresh Tomatoes | Lemon | Togarashi | Wasabi ).

If you are looking for a stiff tipple, look no further as it is known that Last Word makes the best Martini, especially when made by Colin Chia.
