    The chefs are always so friendly. We have been here for omakase a number of times and the food has never failed us and we have rarely ate the same stuff. Thumbs up!

    Description

    Kyoten Japanese Cuisine is the newest kid on hip gastro-street, Yong Siak. Serving traditional Japanese fare, their Chefs are at the forefront of Sushi ageing which can be enjoyed in through their Omakase experience, lunch sets or an ala carte selection.

    Kyoten Japanese Cuisine serves top-quality Japanese fare by sourcing the freshest ingredients. The Sea Urchin that goes into their Uni Bafan Roll, for example, is air-flown right after the auctions at the Toyosu fish markets are concluded four times a week. A generous portion of the precious Sea Urchin is then laid on a special mix of young and old Sasanishiki rice from Miyagi prefecture and served with premium seaweed.

    No meal here is complete without the restaurant’s signature dish - Wagyu Sando: a thick slice of pan-fried A5 Wagyu sandwiched between lightly toasted crustless white bread. We hear the considerate Chefs at Kyoten Japanese Cuisine also do a Hokkaido Buta Sando for patrons who do not eat Beef. (Feb 2020)
