    The food was good & the ambience was beautiful with relaxing music! The restaurant was relatively empty at 1:15 pm, but the staff was not attentive. It took 2 to 3 reminders before we were served some warm water. The water was not refilled, and we figured out later that it’s probably because they had charged us $6++ for 2 small teapots of water! Ice cream was served with one of the set lunches, but when we asked what was the flavour of the ice cream, the waiter didn’t know. He went to ask his colleague & returned later and said “chocolate” - it was disappointing that the staff didn’t know his basics. At 3:15 pm, the waiter came to tell us that the restaurant closed at 3 PM. Taking the hint, I left with my friend without finishing my cappuccino

    Some guests get a decanter for wine, others don’t, cocktail drinks slow to arrive, steak was USDA arrived cold to the touch, sent back, reappeared warm, half way through, steak found to be rare, sent back again. Complaint handled well. Service is not high quality, no attention to customers, everything is on demand. I could not recommend to others. As the food cost doesn’t match the service.

    The steak cooking method not to our liking. They sous vide the steak and infuse with strong rosemary flavour. Then grilled it which i feel the meat lose it original flavour and become dry.

    Description

    Keef the Beef is one of Singapore's home grown restaurant for quality steak dinners. Founded by Keith and his wife Jeanne during the COVID pandemic lockdown, it began as a passion project in their kitchen before moving to a modest outlet in a residential neighbourhood and eventually expanding into a full-fledged restaurant serving a range steak. From USDA, Australian, New Zealand and Argentinian steak cuts.

    Keef the Beef’s signature dish "The PL" was inspired by the legendary Peter Luger-style butter broiled steak cooked at high temperature. The occurring maillard reaction* sweetens the steak and creates the multi-dimensional flavour.
