    Quality of food seems to hv dropped. The steamed ladies fingers were too "old", majority of them were hard & too fibrous. Also the vinegar added to the fried anchovies didn't go well with the dish. Steamed fish wasn't very fresh. Meat was abit mushy.

    Only comment is the chendol dessert took a while and the green jelly was still frozen. If is unavoidable or still frozen they could have informed and not taken the order. Despite that, I will still go back to eat other food

    Value for money. Prices are reasonable and comparable to zicha stalls. Foods are served very promptly. However, the restaurant is very hot and stuffy. Was perspiring throughout the meal. Can improve on air conditioning and ventilation

    It’s hard enough to find an authentic Chinese restaurant that is also halal, much less one that serves up traditional and tasty Tzechar dishes. This lovely spot serves up Muslim-friendly dishes that are so delicious, you wouldn’t even know they are pork-free!

    Treat yourself to some crispy Prawn Paste Chicken - delicious, non-greasy and the perfect dish to start off with. The vegetable dishes are nothing to turn your nose up at either. We love the Sambal Kangkong for its homemade taste and spice, and the Broccoli with Scallop for its rich, briny flavour and generous helping of seafood.

    While these dishes are definitely delicious, Jiak’s claim to fame is their Fish Head Curry. The curry is aromatic and spicy, but it is the fish that is the true highlight of the dish. The fish absorbs the spices from the curry and is cooked till tender - the meat is so soft, you can cut it with a fork! Pair this dish with some steamed rice for the perfect midday meal.
