    Description

An affordable and authentic Japanese restaurant, Izakaya Hikari offers a huge variety of Japanese food, from appetizers to the well loved sashimi and donburi bowls.

Start with a small bowl of Edamame. Seasoned with salt and pepper, the beans are extremely flavourful. The Hiyayakko Tofu is also a popular appetizers. Served cold and garnished with spring onions, this dish is refreshingly tasty. The Sashimi Platter consists of five different kinds of sashimi, including Aka Ebi, Hotate, Salmon, Hamachi and Maguro. For grilled meats, the Yakimono Set combines the restaurant's signature skewers onto one scrumptious platter.

Still hungry? Try the Kawa Ebi or Chicken Karaage. Satisfyingly crunchy, these fried dishes are sure to fill you up! Last but not least, order the Surume Ika. Lightly grilled, the squid has a smoky charred taste that packs a punch of flavour. (Mar 2020)
