    We came to this restaurant because we read the reviews which said the food was good with friendly staff. When we arrived, the manager ignored us for few minutes and started doing something. After few minutes, glanced at us and just said “give me a minute”. No apologies. The service were slow and seems no initiative in attending guests. The food wasn’t good and didn’t warrant the price. We ordered steak which was served on top of what looked like overcooked pond weed - this was soggy and didn’t taste good. There was half a bulb of garlic on the side half cooked - and there was nothing to pair that with. The duck fettuccine had barely any taste - tasted like overcooked pasta with salt and something chewy. The burrata thy we ordered wasn’t creamy - more like mozzarella.

    Contemporary Italian restaurant il Cielo invites guests to journey through Italy, bringing a modern take on the best of Italy's regional cuisine to the heart of the city at voco Orchard Singapore. Located on voco Orchard Singapore’s sunlit rooftop terrace, il Cielo offers a scenic sweeping view of Singapore's bustling cityscape set against a charming outdoor al fresco dining space. Coupled with an intimate indoor dining room, il Cielo presents a casual and cosy rooftop dining ambiance for guests to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal the Italian way: l’appetito vien mangiando or ''the appetite comes with eating''.

    Highlights appetisers like the Fritto Misto, and Carpaccio di Manzo. Complement the meal with fine wine recommended by il Cielo's resident sommelier from the extensive wine list, spanning across many vintages that complement the menu.

    Featuring seasonal ingredients that pay homage to iconic culinary regions across Italy, il Cielo's signature homemade pastas include Tagliolini alla Genovese, starring its namesake's classic basil pesto and Tuscan Pappardelle all' Anatra served with tender duck ragoût, olives and orange zest.

    Dine like the Italians do and dedicate a few hours over delectable mains like the hearty Manzo Brasato — a traditional pot dinner roast starring red wine-braised Angus beef rib,or Pollo al Tartufo made with chicken roulade and foie gras.

    It's not a proper meal without sharing it with good company: leaning on fresh, high-quality seasonal produce sourced across Italy, il Cielo's gourmet wood-fired pizzas offer an explosion of aromatic, vibrant Italian flavours in every bite, recreating simplicity executed at its finest in every dish. Feast on the Calabrese pizza, Astice pizza, or the Tartare pizza.

    Dessert is a must in Italy, especially when it comes to the iconic coffee-infused Italian classic. Made with aromatic Kahlúa-soaked sponge fingers layered with creamy mascarpone and dusted with cocoa rubble for texture, il Cielo's signature Tiramisu is a crowd favourite for any occasion.
