    Typhoon Shelter Wings

    Hand-deboned, battered, fried golden, drowned in Hua Tiao wine and honey glazed. Tossed with black beans, garlic and crumbs. Sticky, loud, totally addictive.

    Roast Duck

    Skin-crackingly roasted, this duck leg hides butter-soft meat. Sweet potato purée and ume sauce cut straight through the richness. Bold, rich, unapologetic.

    Josper Romaine

    Charred till blistered in the Josper oven, slathered in chilli-coriander aioli over house fermented yoghurt. Smoky, herby, punchy, a salad with a bite.

    Description

    At Ignite Bistro & Bar, we serve Chinese-inspired small plates, reimagined with Western cooking techniques. Our signature deboned Typhoon Shelter Wings are fried to golden perfection and tossed in a Hua Tiao wine and honey glaze, equal parts salty, sweet, and umami, keeping you reaching out for just one more piece. Our Roasted Duck Leg, crisp on the outside, buttery on the inside, is laid over a luxurious silky sweet potato purée and finished with our house-made ume sauce for the perfect contrast between rich and refreshing.

    Even the greens pull their weight. Our Josper-grilled Romaine comes charred and smokey, dripping in a fierce and flavourful chilli-coriander aioli layered over our house fermented creamy yoghurt. Move over boring Caesar, this is definitely a salad that bites back.

    Explore the rest of our menu: bold proteins and punchy sides that hold their own against cocktails built from gins, bourbons, baijiu and an assortment of aromatic Chinese herbs. It’s the kind of food and drink made for sharing (but we won’t judge if you keep it to yourself).
