    Afternoon Tea Experience At Ginger.Lily
    Ginger.Lily, the botanical-inspired lobby lounge and bar of the new Hilton Singapore Orchard, has introduced the refined ritual of afternoon tea, jointly curated by Director of Culinary Vijayakant Shanmugam and Executive Pastry Chef Cindy Khoo. Priced from $58++ per person, the afternoon tea at Ginger.Lily tells the story of The Orchard Trail Experience by revisiting the precinct’s storied past as a vibrant plantation and celebrating the spices and flora from that era.

    Afternoon teas are always a sophisticated affair, and at Ginger.Lily, the timelessness starts from the second guests step into the space. Located in the communal heart of the hotel on Level Five, Ginger.Lily is reminiscent of dining in a modern glass conservatory, with airy, double-height ceilings and cathedral-inspired glass doors that welcome an abundance of natural light.

    The elevated afternoon tea experience will whisk guests away on a four-part journey through savoury, sweet, thirst, and take me home, as guests explore Orchard Road’s colonial and plantation past in what is known as The Orchard Trail Experience.

    Start with a playful range of gourmet finger sandwiches and warm savouries inspired by the classic mainstays of a British afternoon tea but with flavours familiar to the local palate, including Salt Crusted Pork Bun, Mini Lobster Roll, and Smoked Beef Burger. Next, a unique selection of freshly baked Vanilla Madagascar and Golden Raisins House Scones is served warm to the table with classic condiments – clotted cream, cinnamon chocolate ganache, and a signature Ginger.Lily jam, best enjoyed with a choice of the 10 premium tea varieties, including a specially curated Ginger.Lily house blend with hints of floral and light spice notes.

    Chef Cindy’s repertoire of dessert creations imbued with spices and flora take centre stage next. The beautifully handcrafted sweet treats are served in an enchanting dessert drawer fashioned into a storybook, a playful nod to the storytelling of The Orchard Trail Experience. Her refined sensibility for presentation comes through in desserts like the Spiced Apple Tatin, featuring a medley of sweet and spiced notes from cloves, black pepper, cinnamon, and gingerbread spice. Chocolate lovers will delight in the Amatika Chocolate Cake, a gluten-free treat made with vegan Valrhona chocolate, and Blue Hibiscus Bar where Chef Cindy ingeniously uses blue hibiscus to balance the sweetness of white chocolate. Recalling Orchard’s history as a nutmeg and fruit plantation, the Almond Fig Tart incorporates nutmeg and fresh figs in a delightfully toothsome treat. Not to be missed are desserts like the eye-catching Pink Peppercorn Cherry Macarons, passionately crafted with fresh cherries, peppercorn and 64% milk chocolate.

    Guests will leave with a takeaway confection – a surprise petite token made especially for afternoon tea – to reminisce the Ginger.Lily experience at home.
