If you've ever stepped into a New York-style diner with its massive menu that includes just about everything, from sandwiches and burgers to pastas and cheesy casseroles, you're going to love Erwin's Gastrobar. Here, hearty and casual diner-fare is served in a sleek, upscale gastrobar setting, perfect for after-work dinner and drinks. Kick back and forget the workweek with a pint of rich Paulaner beer on tap, or pick a fizzy Prosecco cocktail to really get you feeling that Italian-American buzz.

The soul of the food here is all gooey cheese, robust flavours, and meaty mouthfuls. The classic Chicken Parmigiana is the kitchen's flagship, a crispy, breaded cutlet of chicken blanketed in tomatoey Napoletana sauce and melted mozzarella. For a touch more refinement, there's fork-tender Osso Buco, braised veal shanks on a bed of rosemary-kissed potatoes, dressed in a tangy balsamic vinegar cream. If all that's too heavy-going, opt for a crisp-edged panino filled with parma ham and buffalo mozzarella. It wouldn't be an American-Italian diner without some pasta, and there are some delicious healthy options on this end, particularly the Raviolacci, little cloud-like pasta parcels filled not with rich meats but almonds and asparagus, basil oil, and broccoli pesto for a vegetarian dish that would seduce even the biggest meat eater.
