    Staff forgot about my friend's birthday celebration request even though it was registered. The dessert cook (a middle aged man) was also abit uncouth as he insisted he can only serve the ice cream and asked me what flavour i want rather rudely. When i thanked him, he just ignored me - no smile or "you are welcome". Not that i am picky but i would have expected a bit more of service in Mandarin Oriental. If its the local Jack's Place or coffee shops, i would not have bothered. The dessert cook made me feel like i needed him. Food was also mediocre at best. The roast beef was cold and uncooked (at least to me). Variety of buffet was also abysmal.

    Second time at Embu and it's such a consistently good experience. Kudos to Roger and his dedicated team for their kindness and hospitality. We were served by Ah Yi and Jess who were so sincere and warm in their service. They were so thoughtful in ensuring our experience was enjoyable. I'm very impressed by how they were so open to receive feedback to further improve the dining experience (and to be fair, I had none to give). Also, the food at Embu is so well curated. It's not the most extensive spread but it was good quality. And you can see how the chefs take pride in their creation. My family enjoyed the Indian food, the lobster laksa, the chilli crab, the fresh seafood and the dessert. Good service from the heart is so rare in Singapore. And I'm so appreciative to be able to experience it. Thanks for making our family lunch so memorable!

    A bit disappointing, under my expectation as I long time didn’t visited EMBU. Food variety limited, service is great,(although sometimes no one at counter for food service). Hope next visit can be improved.
