    Sick of the usual Naans and Biryanis? Why not opt for a new type of Indian cuisine? This unique spot in the Nucelos towers of the Biopolis offers authentic Mangalorean dishes. Mangalorean cuisine is from the Tulu region in India, and is characterised by a widespread use of fish, ginger, and garlic. The set menu brings to the forefront the aromatics and spices that are used in traditional dishes, such as coconut and curry leaves. The fishes used here vary by seasonality, so diners can rest assured that their dishes will always be fresh.

    Fish isn’t the only meat on the menu though, as Mangalorean cuisine is also famed for their delicious curries. Dig in to some traditional Chicken Sukka, a unique slow-cooked gravy spiced with mangalore chilli powder and thickened with coconut milk. Enjoy this rich dish with a side of steamed rice or a Laacha Prata - a layered flatbread made with whole wheat flour. Vegetarians need not feel left out either - the Mangalore Potato Curry offers a plant-based alternative to the chicken curry that is just as delicious. Beat the heat of the dishes with some homemade Lassi, a traditional yogurt drink that is available as a sweet or salty beverage, and served cold. (Feb 2019)
