    No staffs at the counter. Chef at the front counter and staff were not attentive. Beef slices were impeccably small that were fit enough for a baby’s mouth.

    Description

    A traditional Japanese restaurant that specialises in sushi, sashimi and omakase, Botan Japanese Restaurant is helmed by well-known chef Thomas Kok. Executing every dish with creativity and passion, chef Thomas believes in using only premium ingredients for an authentic taste of Japan.

    Great for intimate dinners or casual dates, the Signature Set serves two with a variety of dishes that make up the appetisers and mains. Kickstart your meal with a bowl of Signature Pitan Tofu. An interesting take on tofu, the cold tofu was garnished with fish role, spring onion and bits of finely chopped century egg. Drenched in a fragrant mixture of sesame and century egg sauce, this dish is a delightful start to the omakase meal.

    Another tasty dish on the set is the Ikura Onsen. An egg-on-egg concept that is beautifully executed, the ikura complements the mellow onsen egg, leaving a mildly sweet aftertaste. The melt-in-your-mouth assorted sashimi is definitely the highlight of the set. Refresh your palate at the end of a heavy meal with a scoop of Hokkaido Ice Cream before leaving happy and satisfied.
