    Incredible food and service. Although the restaurant was empty on a Sunday at noon, Sally was so fun ans always smiling. She let us control the music and offered good food recommendations. Will definitely be back.

    Description

    Nestled along the bustling Keong Saik district, Alegria serves up non-traditional Latin Asian cuisine, with Asian and European influences. Hailing from one of the hottest dining spots in Manilla, Philippines, “Alegria”, which translates to joy and happiness in Spanish, is a restaurant and bar that serves unique dishes that are partly non-traditional, partly deconstructed with a playful expression that leaves diners room for discovery!

    Start your meal with signature starters such as Alegria’s refreshing Ceviche with Tuna, scallop, and menu drizzled with ponzu, Pao de Quiejo (freshly baked Brazilian cheese bread served warm with basil butter) and Nacho, a crispy large masa chip made in-house with prawn bits, cheese on a bed of guacamole spread, served with a Salsa Rioja dip. Available in sharing portions to spread the joy among family and friends, and whet your appetite before indulging in the mains.

    For mains, diners can look forward to the Duck Inasal, featuring parilla grilled duck breast, inasal sauce, pickled kohlrabi, and fennel, served with fragrant coconut sakura ebi rice. Seafood lovers can relish in Pulpo, octopus sous vide for five hours which keeps the texture tender yet to the bite. Enjoy this with home-styled Mamak mole, pickled ancho potatoes with muscovado bacon crumble!

    It’s tacos galore here at Alegria! We recommend selecting a good mix of Alegria’s signature tacos (tortilla made in-house) on offer to have a bite of everything! From seafood favorites such as prawn in squid ink batter paired with kimchi to meaty delights including Sisig pork belly, seared beef and Barbacoa chicken satay, Alegria’s taco selection is set to satisfy all your cravings.

    Wrap up your meal with our freshly made churros and dulce de leche - some say it’s the best they’ve tried! Lastly, the Alegria experience wouldn’t be complete without a drink or two of their signature cocktails, and an array of tipples.
