    Might be my memory but the waterfall seems to be further away now. The salad range also seemed to be smaller. The ham and cheese sandwich was amazingly good, but it is still basic ham and cheese. The crab claw and lobster bisque in the puff pastry were very tasty -wonder if it could be served as a soup instead without the puff pastry. The dessert tier was very good, except for the poached pear. From our understanding, poached pear should be soft but it was crunchy. The chef explained that it is because many of their customers can't appreciate a soft pear. However, if a poached pear is supposed to be stewed till it is soft, we feel that should not have been compromised. Sadly, the scones were not sufficiently buttery and the kaya 'curd' might satisfy foreigners but not Singaporeans who know what a good kaya should taste like. Could not quite taste the coconut in the kaya.

    the high tea food offering was a huge letdown. savory was a curry puff, thumb sized tomato tart, foie gras crisp and 3 types of sandwiches that were pretty dainty: cucumber, smoked salmon and egg mayo. that's the lot, nothing exciting that needs describinh.
