    The biggest turnoff is the ordering experience. I was expecting an elevated experience based on the reviews and the positioning of the restaurant. Ordering via an App, paying upfront, and then having all appetisers and mains delivered all at once is just such a basic experience. Are we expected to order and pay appetisers first, and then order and pay the mains? Come on, have some back-end sophistication, and when in doubt, just ask us. Otherwise the food was average to excellent, with some variation between the dishes. The pork belly is absolutely delicious. Likewise for the mushroom soups. However, the coleslaw and salad as sides are very underwhelming and standard. The ribs and chicken are good, yet for being smoked on site, I was missing the flavour and texture edge. This was a good one-off visit. Wouldn’t come back though.

    The signature smoked beef brisket was a let down. It was so salty that we only took a few mouthful. Disappointing dish as it was one of the signature.

    Finally got to visit Willow and Oak after seeing so many viral videos about it. Ordered the grilled salmon and the pairing with creamy ikura was very interesting. Salmon was tender, with very crispy skin. The cheesecake is truly one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Who would think to add mango glaze and lime zest to cheesecake?! So good that we ordered another slice coz it’s so refreshing. Prices are reasonable and service was top notch. Friendly + water kept being refilled even though they were so busy. It was full on a wed night so rec reserving in advance. ask for one of the booth seats if you’re doing date night coz those look quite cozy.

    The Willow & Oak is equal parts BBQ restaurant and cocktail bar - slow-smoked meats and handcrafted drinks under a canopy of cascading white blooms. Come for the food, stay for the drinks, or the other way around. Either way, you're in good hands.

    The kitchen runs 12-hour brisket, Duroc pork ribs, Wagyu striploin, pastas, and burgers. The bar serves house-original signature cocktails, local craft beer, and bespoke drinks - tell the bartender what you're in the mood for and he'll make something just for you.
