    Ramen and side dishes were only ok....soup was tasty but had a strong msg flavour. Noodle texture was not chewy and seemed to be not fresh. Condiments like chashu and Kombu were standard and nothing amazing.

    Description

    Your answer to late-night cravings lies at The Ramen House, a Japanese eatery that opens till 6am. The folks here serve a wide array of ramen with their signature homemade broth, where chicken or pork meat and bones have simmered patiently for 30 hours to create a smooth, rich and milky texture.

    The Volcano Ramen is their best-seller, with succulent pieces of chicken cha shu accompanied by dollops of "red hot lava", a paste of red chillies and dried Indian chilli padi. Another indulgent option is the Abalone Seafood Ramen that comes with a plump abalone and tempura prawns and squid deep fried to perfection.

    Even if you're not in the mood for ramen, other dishes from their extensive menu are sure to catch your fancy. There’s even a good selection of Sake, Shochu and Hokkaido Wines to wash all the food down at the end of your meal. From innovative sushi creations to hearty Kushiyaki Bento sets and Donburis, you’ll have to make several trips to try them all (but we aren’t complaining!). (Nov 2019)
