    Description

On his journey, the vibrant life of the desert echoed around him. The sounds of trade, the sharing of meals, and the music that fills the air amalgamating to desert life that celebrates the community and joy found within its expansive embrace. It was here that our traveller discovered the true spirit of the desert – not just in its solitude, but in the energetic pulse of its inhabitants.

As the evening unfolded beneath the vast canopy of the desert sky, the air became alive with the melody of shared tales and laughter, a testament to the timeless tradition of storytelling that binds us. Around them, a banquet spread—a veritable feast for the senses. The table under the weight of generosity was adorned with platters brimming with the earth’s bounty: loaves of bread as golden as the desert sun, meats seasoned with the wisdom of the ages, fish that whispered fables of the sea, sweets dripping with honeyed promises, and vessels of drink that sparkled like the night sky. This was more than a meal; it was a celebration of life’s simple yet profound pleasures, shared in the spirit of camaraderie

In his travels across the globe, he had been a guest at countless tables. Yet, nothing compared to the magic that unfolded in the heart of the desert. The flavours were not merely exotic; they were a revelation, of tastes and aromas that defied imagination. It was as if, in this shared moment of communal respite, he had tasted the essence of the desert itself—wild, untamed, and utterly enchanting.

As the night deepened, wrapped in the warmth of new friendships and the satisfaction of a feast shared, a sense of peace enveloped him. The desert night echoed stories and shared joy, cradling him into a state of contentment so profound that he drifted seamlessly into the land of dreams. This journey, marked by the flavours of the desert, the warmth of its people, and the jubilant communion of shared meals had transformed him. His heart full, he yearned to tell of this adventure, of a land that bewitched and beguiled, inviting all to discover its secrets

Join us as we reveal The Prince Experience, an encounter that transcends the ordinary and captivates the senses with the spirit of the Arabian desert.

Dine Amidst The Intrigue of Arabian SandsAs day folds into golden afternoon, The Prince offers midday travellers a moment of stillness and flavour with its Set Lunch Menu ($29++). A brisk yet satisfying sojourn, it begins with a dip kissed by spice, leads into vibrant mezze, follows with flame-grilled kebabs, and concludes in the comfort of dessert. A brief escape, perhaps—but one that leaves a lasting impression.

For those who prefer to relinquish control and savour the unknown, we say: Let the Chefs Decide ($78). This six-course journey is a surrender to surprise, each plate revealing itself like an oasis appearing on the horizon. No maps. No expectations. Only trust, and delight. Each course, a carefully constructed story—rooted in heritage, told through fire, spice, and imagination.

As the weekend sun warms the sandstone tones of the space, brunch at The Prince becomes a more leisurely affair—where old friends gather and new ones are made over plates meant to be passed and poured.

The Grilled Feta and Spinach Omelette, softened with chickpeas, arrives like the morning breeze—gentle, nourishing. The Chicken Red Shawarma, spiced and crisp, is served alongside pickled cucumber and lemon zhug, awakening the palate with each bite. There’s comfort in the Snapper Fish & Chips, reimagined with a touch of harissa and aioli, while the Braised Lamb Shawarma, slow-cooked and drizzled with spiced date jus, offers depth and gravitas. For those who crave indulgence, the Steak & Eggs pairs grain-fed striploin with harissa tomato and  jalapeño fries—a dish that lingers in memory long after the last forkful.

Free-flow beverage rituals ($48 for 2 hours) complete this weekend interlude—mimosas sparkling like morning dew, Aperol Spritz dancing on the tongue, and wine that flows like stories shared beneath a canopy of laughter. Bottles of Telmont Champagne and Château Minuty Rosé stand ready to be uncorked in celebration.

At the bar, a different magic stirs—cocktails as layered and captivating as desert myths. Sip on the Qirfa Bee’s Knees, where apple tea and cinnamon curl around citrus like incense in the wind. The A’Shab Daiquiri, fragrant with coriander and pomegranate, tastes of adventure. The Shvil Alexander—a dusky blend of cacaochai, and tahini—offers a moment of sweet reflection.

And for those choosing a gentler path, zero-proof cocktails carry no less intrigue. The Heenarita is vibrant with turmeric and pineapple; the Like Arak stirs pinot noirspiced tea, and Calpis into a deep, elegant pour.

In every offering—be it a flame-kissed skewer or a glass lifted in good company—The Prince remains a beacon of karam, the timeless generosity of the desert. Come for the flavour. Stay for the story. And leave with your spirit just a little more full.

Enchantment and Mystery Within The Prince’s Realms

The Prince serenades the day-to-night alchemy of the desert sands. In daylight, it blooms as a lively bistro, a hub for fleeting lunch breaks and gourmands in pursuit of quick culinary delights. Bathed in sunlight, the interior radiates with daytime vibrancy, echoing the energy with a refined playlist of Jazz, Swing, and Blues.

As twilight descends, the pace of life eases, mirroring the languid caress of desert breeze. Blinds lower, and candlelight flickers, inviting guests into an intimate reverie, beneath celestial canopies. The fusion of spiritual, electronic cadence with Middle Eastern harmonies and Arabic deep house weaves an air of enigma and allure.

The Prince’s abode is a contemporary homage to desert architecture. A canvas of sandstone hues sets the stage with sleek modern forms and natural tones. Accents of polished wood grace marble and wooden tabletops. The décor, from the cream upholstered chairs to the sofas adorned with cushions of silver and maroon, from the nude to the taupe leather chairs, is an intricate play of seduction.

Inside, the furnishings tell a story of subtle allure: cream upholstered chairs, sofas punctuated with cushions of silver and maroon, and seating from nude to taupe leather craft an inviting cove of comfort and style. By day, the space is awash with natural light that plays off polished wood and marble surfaces. As night falls, an intimate ambience takes hold, with wooden Venetian blinds, lanterns, and candles casting a soft, jewel-like glow across sandstone floors and mosaic-tiled walls. Light is sprinkled through modern Moroccan-style pendants.

The bar boasts a marble countertop set against a wood-grained façade, surrounded by cream-coloured chairs and orb-shaped pendants overhead. Behind, alcove shelves glow with a blue hue, mirroring the vast desert sky, and an arched walkway lined with lanterns invokes the spirit of bustling souks.

The adjacent space is delineated by sandstone walls adorned with rugs and lanterns, where foliage interplays with brass and glass elements. Niches cradle rust-hued sconces, and a statement piece of art, featuring brass calligraphy, embodies the cultural virtues of ‘patience, gratitude, and trust’. This ensemble is anchored by a curved counter with high chairs clad in tan leather.

For exclusive gatherings, The Prince offers a Private Room. Seating up to 12 guests, this chamber is furnished with a stately wooden table and navy blue velvet chairs. A khaki ‘shimmialish’ curtain can be drawn to ensure privacy and discretion for those who seek it. (May 2025)
