    We arrive 20 minutes early for our booking, before sitting down the waitress informed us we had 90 minutes, we told her we arrive 20 minutes early so technically have 90 plus 20 as restaurant was empty. The waitress showed no interest in serving us, being helpful overall just did not like the atmosphere so left before ordering. Went across the road. Had fab service and food. Staff should be trained in customer service, especially when you spoilt for choice many restaurants on this road.

    quality dropped from the past few times i've been here unfortunately. service staff was good as usual but the taste did not meet the expectations anymore... not sure if chef changed but mooping & noodles were js not cooked as flavourful n well :/

    Thachang (Telok Ayer) captures the quintessential Thai Boat Noodle experience with a modern twist.

    Founded by three Thai friends – Anna, Jazz and Maysa – who were brought together by their love of cooking authentic dishes from their homeland, their friendship soon flourished into a mission: to give Singaporeans an authentic Thai Boat Noodle; the very same that has seen millions from around the world flock to Bangkok’s famed Victory Monument boat noodle alley.

    Turning their craving towards perfecting the craft, the 3 of them studied under a veteran Thai chef, with over 20 years’ experience in serving the celebrated dish to hungry locals and travellers. Combining fresh ingredients with a mouth-watering broth that balances sweet, salty, sour and spicy notes, Thachang (Telok Ayer) delivers a dish that is equal parts nuanced and authentic.

    Beside Boat Noodle, you can also find a wide range of Thai Cuisine available in the stall, some of their favourites are Omelette Crab Bomb, Fermented Grilled Pork Skewers and many more. Transforming into a bar concept after dinner hours to continue the celebrations after dark, in true Thai fashion, diners are invited to revel through the night in the neon-lit charm of Bangkok’s “Soi” street culture.
