    Description

    SILK is the new kid on the Chinatown block, serving fine Chinese tea from a tea bar hidden in a heritage shophouse next to the iconic Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.

    Sandwiched between an old medicinal hall on the ground floor and a geomancer’s office on the third floor, teas are brewed to order while an eclectic mix of Asian beats plays gently in the background.

    SILK aims to make savoring, tasting, and drinking Chinese tea accessible to a new audience typically familiar with specialty coffee studios and dedicated liquor bars of all ilk; yet to whom tea is usually relegated to an afterthought. (Apr 2023)
