    Description

    COVID-19 has presented a unique set of challenges for Singapore’s F&B landscape, especially with the new norm of safe management measures in place to develop a safer framework and maintain a hygienic environment for diners and party-goers alike. Established in Chijmes since 2006 (formerly known as Cosafe Maid Café), PNC has watched its space grow beyond what was first envisaged in its maiden rebranding exercise in 2014 to appeal to a variety of target audience. Today, we are taking this opportunity to re-evaluate, regroup, and rebrand our existing identity. And we must be prepared to innovate, and embrace the reality of rapid digitalisation.

    Going forward, our establishment has a newly adopted vision of transforming into a local promising label that distinguishes itself from competitors within the F&B industry, yet remains perfectly affiliated to PNC – Pemenco: the expression of ‘Peaty, meaty, and company’ is the inspiration behind this original brand name.

    This complete rebranding campaign takes time and only PNC’s loyal, and royal, patrons will eventually attest to its successful business transformation into Pemenco, which is already a work-in-progress. From a stylishly designed logo in new corporate colours of brown and orange hues, to its commitment towards enhancing service orientation, as well as freshly curated menu of the finest culinary by its contemporary resident-chef and other exceptional personalities, Pemenco will evolve from “grapes to peat” – wines to whisky in other words. And we must continue to remain resilient even as the going gets tough.

    While the nature of rebranding is painstaking, it is both necessary and inevitable from our business point of view. In essence, the understanding and renewed support of the esteemed Chijmes management towards our latest aspiration will certainly enable Pemenco to break newer ground and pursue remarkable growth under greater stewardship amid these trying times.
