    We dined at IM QALB by Pun Im yesterday to celebrate my mum’s birthday. There were six of us, and we spent about $280. But cost aside. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the meal. Every dish we ordered was heavily seasoned, with too much pepper and so much lime or lemon that the food tasted overly sour. The pineapple fried rice was packed with nuts, and every bite became tiring to chew. Given the occasion and the price point, we were disappointed. I’m sharing this in the hope that it helps them refine the seasoning and balance their dishes. Otherwise, not worth the time, the commute and money.

    Food was ok but not worth the praise. Too rich for my taste - kailan stir-fry & curry soft shell crab were too salty. Very pricey: $2 for jasmine rice, $0.80 p/p for tap water. Might as well get mineral water. Won't be back.

Its name combines “IM”, inspired by the Thai word for “full”, and “QALB”, the Arabic word for “heart” — symbolising “a full heart” and the warmth of a shared meal.
