    Description

    When you step into the restaurant via the ground floor, there's no doubt that the team behind High Society Mansion Café and Restaurant are aiming to live up to their brand name. Chequered marble flooring, lush red velvet chairs (and red velvet cupcakes too, but we'll get to those later), and high ceiling chandeliers all evoke a sense of timeless elegance that blends perfectly with the group's wildly popular music offerings.

    The music and space aren't the only draws though. Fancy a "flirt"? Their fantabulous cupcakes, named after their award-winning music CDs, are absolutely darling, and with creations like vanilla with lemon curd topped with Chantilly cream, and chocolate hazelnut feuillitine with chocolate ganache, it took a lot of restraint on our part to select just one! High Society Mansion Café also offers some delectable macarons in a variety of flavours – our favourites include the dark chocolate, green tea passion fruit, and raspberry rose!

    If you're Chope-ing a full meal though, then you'll be treated to an "eclectic mix of East and West", sometimes all in one plate! Take their Seafood Laksa Spaghetti for example. An in-house creation that pairs al dente pasta dressed in a spicy and coconutty laksa sauce, it was a perfect way to inject some local flavour into a normally very European dish.

    Another great feature of the restaurant is how the upstairs area turns into a dance floor complete with dazzling lights and a DJ turntable every Friday and Saturday after 10pm! So eat, drink, and dance the night away. When you're in with High Society, that's just how you roll. (May 2013)

    "Befitting its name, the restaurant features a Baroque-inspired décor, complete with Italian marble flooring, gold chandeliers and red velvet drapes to exude a opulent old-world charm. The menu, however, leans towards the contemporary with an eclectic mix of cuisines from the East and West including local delights and modern European fusion fare." -I-S Asia-City
