    The staff was very considerate and called me in the afternoon to inform that they do not have the tools do the wordings on the dessert instead they will use the coaster to write 'Happy Anniversary' for us. The service was good, the food was serve fast. The staff gave us 2 complimentary shot glass of cocktail on the house for our celebration. Thumbs up! :)

    Oysters were bad, not fresh. The beef marinara pasta also did not have much flavor. The lobster bisque soup tasted a bit burnt. Desserts were fairly underwhelming. Otherwise, the rest of the food was nice e.g chicken bites, beef main dish, mushroom soup, truffle garlic pasta, mushroom rissoto, fish and chips, wagyu beef appetizer.

    Description

    Gillman Barracks is already famed in the local art scene for its unique collection of restaurants, art galleries, and bars. Hopscotch adds to the mix by offering a selection of unique cocktails and libations for adventurous barflies. You can easily spot the bar due to its unique red brick exterior, decorative gears, and exposed piping on the outer walls.

    The highlight of the menu would has to be the bespoke cocktails. Crafted with a local palate in mind, many of the drinks combine familiar flavours with exquisite liqueurs to create unique concoctions. The White Sands cocktail, for example, will have you longing for warm beach days. Served in a seashell and made with a heady mix of Kwai Feh lychee liqueur, Nigori Sake, and a coconut sorbet for some extra sweetness, this is the perfect pick-me-up drink for those sweltering days you’d rather be by the sea. Pace yourself with the alcohol by indulging in some bar bites, like the Hyogo Oysters. Reasonably priced and specially flown in from the Hyogo Prefecture in Japan, these plump little gems provide a briny flavour tempered by dashi to cleanse the palate and prepare it for more flavours.
