    Food, service and atmosphere were great. But we had to leave a 1000Baht per person deposit for the reservation. However, we were not told that it would not be refunded and it would be used as payment. Once the bill arrived we were informed that we didn’t use the entire amount that we had been charged and we had to order more if we wanted to use the amount my credit card was charged. Being more upfront about this would have helped us decide if we wanted to eat at this restaurant.

    A soothing beach destination, The Boathouse has remained one of our favourite dining spots, loved for its ability to combine award-winning classic Western fare alongside authentic Thai dishes.

    The experience begins the moment you step forth on this tranquil restaurant, where comfy cream chairs and sleek wooden tables are accented with freshly picked flowers. Of course, if dining al fresco is more your style, the head on out to the courtyard where you’ll be serenaded by the birds in trees and the sounds of the ocean waves nearby.

    Then select from an finely crafted array of Western and Thai dishes, all made from locally grown produce, freshly caught seafood and fish, and imported prime meats. Pick from tantalising dishes such as the Western Rock Lobster “Thermidor”, where lobster is slowly cooked in a rich tomato and tarragon white wine sauce. Meanwhile, fans of red meat would be thrilled with the restaurant’s insanely divine Australian Sovereign Lamb Chop, which comes paired with lemon butter, mint jelly, and a side of hand cut fries.

    And of course, nothing enhances a meal than a bottle of wine. Be sure to check out the restaurant’s extensive wine cellar that boasts over 600 unique labels from over 17 countries.
