      We had a fantastic dinner experience here with my friends. The service was great from beginning to end. The dishes were gorgeous, especially the blue crab curry and foie gras. Chef Paul carefully helped us and guided us through the entire dinner. We will definitely return to this place again.

      The food was decent, but the Sanea Jan cocktail was an absolute delight to drink. The star of the night was the Andaman fish cake—the pineapple sauce paired perfectly with the pickles, really bringing out the flavors of the dish. My husband and I had a great dinner at the restaurant. To my surprise, they brought out an enormous dragon boat ice cream and even gave my husband a stalk of orchid so he could surprise me for my birthday—it was such a sweet touch!

      Description

      Be transported away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket Town as you step into the lush rounds of the Blue Elephant. Located in the 105-year-old Phra Pitak Chinpracha Mansion, which was built in the Sino-Portugese style and combining elements of traditional Feng Shui in its architecture, Blue Elephant is Thai cuisine at its finest.

      At Blue Elephant, award-winning Chef Nooror Somany Steppe takes diners on a culinary adventure commencing with traditional Thai heritage dishes through to her vision of the “Thai Kitchen of Tomorrow”. Specialty dishes drawn from the royal courts and literature of the Kings of Thailand give diners a most delicious history lesson. Drawing inspiration from Chef Nooror’s myriad of travels and overseas experiences as a Star Chef, and accurately reflecting the present-day cosmopolitan nature of Thailand, diners can also expect to see Western classics with a decidedly Thai twist – Croquettes Koong Kiew Wan is a fusion dish inspired by the strong relationship between Thailand and Belgium, while Thai red curry paste and sweet chill sauce give the Crispy Crab Soufflé an extra zest. All dishes are executed at a high level of refinement, due in no small part to Chef Nooror’s insistence on using only fresh, local ingredients, many of which are sourced from the Royal Project Farm.
