      Description

The Sapphire Bar at The Sukosol hotel is the answer for anyone seeking smooth jazz, tasty nosh, and imaginative drink creations. This chic bar, with its purple walls, plush chairs, and eclectic ornaments, is modelled after a roaring 1920s speakeasy and comes with the carefree and flamboyant atmosphere to boot.

The cocktails at Sapphire Bar are a surefire bet. Top of the list is the aptly-named The Sapphire, a radiant blue cocktail that’s a beauty to behold. The Sapphire is a devilishly-delicious concoction made from Grey Goose vodka, mango juice, orange flower water, fresh vanilla, and topped off with kaffir lime foam. Classic cocktails, such as Bloody Mary and Cosmopolitan, are also on the menu. But true to the freewheeling spirit of the Sapphire Bar, you may be pleasantly surprised to find hints of Thai flavours in your cocktail as bartenders incorporate drinks using local ingredients like lemongrass, coconut, and Thai rice vodka.

If you’re looking to spend an afternoon giggling with friends and loved ones over champagne, the Sapphire Bar has you covered. Its afternoon tea menu features a delightful assortment of petit fours and other sweet treats. For a booze-friendly bite, try the mushroom aioli where battered mushrooms are deep-fried to perfection and slathered with creamy garlic aioli. If you ask us, there’s no better way to spend an afternoon than in the company of friends, the sounds of smooth jazz and a cocktail or two from the Sapphire Bar. (February 2017)
