    Description

    During the COVID-19 pandemic at the end of 2021, Ruay Mitr emerged from a fun idea among Supanniga Group's partners who sought to create a restaurant that would perfectly fit Thai eating lifestyle and offer a unique dining experience not easily found elsewhere. Starting as a Thai boiled rice delivery before the lockdown measures were lifted, Ruay Mitr eventually found its first temporary home on the upper floor of Supanniga Thonglor Restaurant. Eventually, they opened their first official branch in Sathorn, which quickly became a crowd-favorite hit for both office folks and locals.

    As two years passed, Ruay Mitr grew strong and began to muster its own strength. Like a bird leaving its nest, Ruay Mitr took a bold step after a year under the shelter of its own grandmother’s house in Sathorn and made a great leap to its new home in Ekkamai, a bustling and vibrant neighborhood surrounded by residential spaces and lush greenery in Sukhumvit 61. Ruay Mitr found its new home in a three-story commercial building, which was breathed into a new life by O–Saran Yen Panya, a Thai artist and visionary behind the first Ruay Mitr in Sathorn who now returned to continue his work at the Ekkamai branch. The result is a lively and photogenic restaurant that feels like a friend’s house, embodying both the spirit of a collector who loves to socialize and cook.
