    This Michelin Guide restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but venture in for delicious bites in an authentic Thai experience. Tracing its roots back more than half a century, Methavalai Sorndaeng is popular with locals for its excellent food and reasonable prices. With live 80s Thai karaoke music blaring from the speakers, and sweeping views of the stunning Democracy Monument in Bangkok, Phra Nakhon is the place to visit. There is even a small private room where smaller groups of diners can enjoy their meals in a separate area.

    The lengthy menu is crafted in Royal Thai style, meaning there is a focus on premium ingredients, presentation, and the omission of things like meat and fish bones that are deemed “unfit” for royal consumption.
