Want to enjoy a wild night out but don’t want to leave the kids at home? Being a parent doesn’t have to be boring anymore at Blue Parrot Bangkok. Nestled in the backyard of quirky, Cuban-inspired cocktail Revolucion Cocktail, Blue Parrot has been transformed into a family-friendly tropical hideaway that allows you to have as much fun as the kids. You might even think you’re on a beach vacation with a yard that features a lush dining courtyard, a swimming pool along with sunbeds and mini cabanas, and a play area to keep the young ones entertained.
French chef Nicolas Valanchon helms the kitchen and offers a more health-conscious menu along with quintessential comfort grub such as pizza and tapas-style finger food such as a classy Cold Cut Plate or the yummy Bruschetta. Tapas- More substantial fare include wonderfully meaty options such as the Dry-Aged Pork Collar Mustard and the Grilled Baby Chicken Chimichurri, where a tender, free-range baby chicken is served with a luscious sauce which features a heady combination of parsley, minced garlic, vegetable, oregano and white vinegar. Rest assured, the kids will enjoy the mouthwatering kids menu available as well, because who can ever say no to Steak & Cheese, a Mini Chicken Roast, or a Ham & Cheese Coquillettes Risotto along with sides and a drink?
If you can’t order from the kids menu, at least you get to sip on fun and fruity cocktails such as the R&G, an elegant concoction of rose wine, grapefruit and some tonic water, or the sassy Pomegranate Sensation, featuring fresh pomegranate with gin ad tonic, and a little drizzle of black pepper. The wine list is just as tempting and we’d say there’s nothing better than giving yourself a little treat once in awhile! (August 2017)
