    We had a wonderful dinner experience at Avant. The environment is cosy as we are seated around the Chef's table and we were able to interact with Chef Haikal. Service is excellent and Chef Haikal's friendliness enhanced the experience as he explained in great detail every course we had. The food was awesome. We could see that each course was carefully created and presented and tasted delicious. An experience not to be missed!

    Inspired by the French word for "before" or "ahead," AVANT is the culinary vision of celebrated Singaporean chef Haikal Johari. For him, the name signifies looking back on his vast experience to confidently move forward.

    The restaurant, located on the 30th floor of the Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, offers an intimate fine-dining experience with spectacular city views. The discreetly luxurious space features a 10-seat low dining counter, inviting guests to interact with the culinary team and enjoy prime views of both the open kitchen and the skyline. For those who prefer privacy, a private dining room seating up to 10 guests provides a personalized, at-home experience.

    Our Chef
    AVANT is led by Haikal Johari, an award-winning chef best known for his work in major culinary capitals like Bangkok and Singapore. The restaurant marks his return to Bangkok after nearly a decade. Chef Haikal believes that hospitality is the heart of the dining experience, combining the meticulous attention to detail of fine dining with a genuine, heartfelt warmth.
