    Being the oldest and one of the most touristic restaurant of Jakarta, I thought it would have been very touristic but it was actually a very local athmosphere, the staff is very attentive, careful and kind and they explain you the dishes! We were three and share some plates, everything is very local but with a "fancy" and "fusion" twist! We tried nasi goreng, cassava chips, gado gado, rendang, which were all chef's reccomendations and we were all satisfied :)

    Cafe Batavia is an award winning historical restaurant located in Kota Tua, Jakarta. Established in 1993, the restaurant offers an iconic culinary experience through signature Nusantara foods, drinks, and cocktails under the roof of a Dutch colonial building built in 1805.
