    We came for dinner based on the glowing reviews, but it proved to be more of a Western-style tourist supper club than an authentic Chinese dining experience. The food arrived cold, as several others have noted> the kitchen is downstairs or some distance from the dining room. The scallop appetizer was overcooked and rubbery; I can only hope it doesn’t cause any aftereffects. I returned it, yet it still appeared on the bill. Our waiter seemed genuinely overwhelmed, and the service lacked both attention to detail and proper training. The atmosphere caters largely to Western tastes, with loud American pop music, certainly not jazz. It felt far more like a karaoke bar designed for buckets of beer than a restaurant proper. I can understand how some might enjoy the lively scene for cocktails, but if you don’t travel to Asia in search of an imitation American supper club, best to skip. The décor is lovely, but the music is garish and the experience distinctly overpriced for what it offers.

Standouts include the Crispy Peking Duck, which is accompanied with paper-thin slices of dough and a special sweet and sour sauce. Meanwhile, the Sticky Rice with Crab Meat is another evergreen favourite, which features top-quality rice from the Surin province and comes with a heaping serving of fresh crab meat.
