    Description

    Mazu is a contemporary Kappo-style omakase restaurant inspired by the concept of the “Underworld”,  telling its story through architecture, ambiance, and lighting elements to provide an immersive experience from the very first step inside.

    Gate to the Underworld

    The building’s front is designed as the “Gate to the Underworld.” Customers will feel as though, they are stepping into a mysterious realm even before entering the venue. The mood is similar to a theme park or haunted house — the storytelling begins at the entrance, not just inside.

    Mazu aims to create an “Immersive Underworld Journey” from the first step a guest takes into the space — not just when seated.

    The core colors are black–gray–silver (no gold), with a focus on lighting and mysterious elements. The dim, cave-like ambiance and the interactive, color-changing “touchable fire” are key gimmicks that make guests want to return — because each visit promises a unique experience.
