  Great Vietnamese food albiet a bit pricey.

  I wanted to compare So Pho with Saigon Sandwich i had a few days ago.Situated on thr 3rd floor of Parkway Parade Mall restaurant was bright and spacious.There was a staff at the counter who greeted me and i said i was ordering takeout.
  Ordered the special beef pho and the mixed appetiser.Pho was delicious with 3 thick slices of beef and 2 large beef balls.They had beansprouts and a lime to go with it.Granted the price was way more expensive than Saigon Sandwich but the quality and taste of real Pho was there.
  The mix appetiser consisted of fish cake,summer roll and spring rolls all which were tasty.
  I would certainly recommemd So Pho for their food but be prepared to pay alot more.

  Bedok Mall branch - needs better service

  Bedok Mall branch - Lunch overall was,okay, though there were a couple of issues that marred the experience.
  
  We ordered the beef shank pho, the lemongrass chicken with vermicelli, and fresh spring rolls. The pho was ok, not spectacular. The lemongrass chicken was excellent, but did not come with the deef fried spring rolls as stated. I had to ask the male staff, who then apologized and sent the two,pieces to the table. The fresh spring rolls were freshly made, which was good.
  
  We had also ordered two hot Vietnamese coffees, but were served ice coffees instead. This was an extra $1 each, which was okay, but when asked why we did not get the hot ones, the female Vietnamese cashier said they did not have the ‘drip drip’ cups. What kind of serious Vietnamese eatery does not have those? She should have clarified it with us when we placed the order.

  Pho for Lunch was the decision

  Having eaten there before the decision was easy, Pho for lunch, and a mixed entree on the side.
  Noodles were just right and the broth tasty.

  Tasty vermicelli with fish and spring rolls

  Went for Saturday lunch at 12 noon, not too crowded until after 1pm when a short queue started. Friendly guy who does the welcoming and cashier duties quickly gve me the menu and order list so I could choose a comfortable booth seat.
  Ordered No. 26,the fresh vermicelli with lemongrass infused fish fillets which were tender and fragrant, mixing sauce just nice, not too sweet or salty. The little spring rolls weren't remarkable, just a meat filling but there were lots of green vegetables, radish slices so a balanced meal. My daughter had the pho which she said was fine, texture good but broth plain and not as tasty as those we had in Vietnam. A few strands of fresh taugay and lime to go with it.
  Condiments are well provided on the table, hot chilli sauce in a squeeze bottle, cut green chilli and dried chilli flakes. Cutlery and napkins conveniently on the table as well.
  Service was quick and everything done swiftly and efficiently. Bill was around
  a reasonable $24 or so with the service and GST added in, so a good value and tasty meal. The menu is wide and varied with baguette, fried rice, chicken curry, salads available so worth dropping
  in to try different offerings.
  On the third level of Parkway Parade a few doors from Giant.

  scam

  ordered the lemongrass chicken with rice.
  meat portion on rice was too small. this isn't even fine dining. I don't understand why this restaurant tries to cheat you with such high price and small meat. even smaller than the egg and rice. salad was not fresh and seasoned.
  pancake appetizer was served with only half ingredients. definitely a scam because you're not getting what you paid for. staff was inattentive and appetisers were served last. who runs this place? it's a circus act.
  stay away from this restaurant unless you want to be charged expensive prices for half a plate of food and be treated poorly.
