About 30min queue when there’re seats 30min extra wait for just to drink tea
Short and sweet review.
About 30min queue for just 1 person when there are seats. Another about 30-40min for a damn tea.
Never coming again.
Good luck waiting.

Worth the wait???!!!! Nope...
My friend and I decided to dine at the establishment and we were there from 7.10pm till closing. Decided to order dishes we enjoy eating. We even ordered around 7.16pm and the food came about 45 minutes later and more because we ordered different food. Even the soup and salad for my friend came late. I ordered the beef with rice and that came late too. 45 mins for us to wait for our food is not acceptable at all. No place makes us wait for that long. And even asking for sauce to eat with our fries that we ordered didn't come at all.
Service was slow and bad. I doubt I'll ever have to pay for service so bad elsewhere.
My steak was cooked till it feels like rubber. It should not be the case. And the pancake souffle we ordered didn't come at all. So we had to cancel it coz the chef was about to make in last minute.
You guys can do better than that.

The best coffee and soufflé
The best coffee even hand drip. Better than anything from Europe including Italy and France. It is smooth, creamy, not bitter and one can make out the subtle caramelisation of the beans through the French roast. The way coffee was meant to be had. No need for sugar. The soufflé is outstanding as one would expect from anything Japan. Better than any from France or Northern Europe. It is soft, airy, fluffy, the way soufflés are meant to be had, hence the name whistled breath. It lives up to its name. Kudos to the barista and chef. Simply outstanding. When in Singapore it is a must visit.

Got my order wrong despite being the first customer, waited 40 min
On the order checklist, I checked the salmon brunch but instead the wasabi salmon spaghetti was served. I then had to wait 40 min for my order to arrive while my family finished their meals.
It is absurd that one would a charge a premium price of $18.80 for such lousy service. The food was good but there is an opportunity cost in terms of time.
Do not recommend this outlet. Shame, I quite like Hoshino in Japan.

Noticed this cosy restaurant while passing by at Capitol. So decided to try out with the HSBC Entertainer discount.
Called the restaurant at least 3 times but nobody ever picked up, so decided to book via Quandoo app (some restaurants do not accept credit card discount when booking via App) and discount is still applicable.
We ordered a few items to try out:
- Fries: it was the first to arrive, warm and tasty.
- Soufflé pancake: taste is just ok, nothing special
- Soufflé with custard cream: a disappointment (quite watery) compared to the one i had from Racines Sofitel Singapore which tasted many times better (it’s $16, bigger Soufflé and served with a scoop of red bean ice cream)
- Hoshino Coffee: served after we reminded them that all the food had arrived and the coffee are missing. Coffee was ok, not bad. One cup was free when I told I signed up as member.
Overall, a nice, quiet and cosy place for a drink. There is a notice saying 1 hour dining limit during peak hour, after the last dish is served.
Food wise, there is nothing exceptional. Service staff were friendly but quite slow, though it was not a busy time when we arrived at 5pm. We had to ring the bell several times. Take note as well, they charge $0.10 for wet wipe, but they will waive if you return when they pass they cutlery basket.
