    Description
En Japanese Dining Bar has spent over a decade presiding over the ever-changing Mohamed Sultan Road. A perennial favorite with Japanese expats and thirsty businessmen, its popularity is definitely well-deserved.

The izakaya concept is wholeheartedly embraced here, where a post-work tipple involves good company, and copious amounts of food. While En serves standard (and very tasty) Japanese fare like sushi, salmon, tempura, and kushiyaki, their real calling card is the izakaya menu. Their drinks selection is vast and varied: wines, beers, champagnes, cocktails, sake and shochu - served with a Japanese twist, and accompanied by home-style Okinawan dishes for that authentic pub experience.

En’s architecture is a blend of modern and traditional. Alfresco diners can bathe in the warm lantern light at the large wooden benches, or if the evening gets too balmy, you can adjourn to the more traditional sunken tables inside. And in the rare event that conversation stalls, you can always turn your attention to what’s showing on their giant projector screens.

'En' which means 'circle' or 'fate' in Japanese, is a fitting name since the place truly brings people together with the promise of great food and an inviting ambience. (Jun 2012)

    The Buzz
"In a country where 'blur' is practically a universal trademark, En Japanese distinguishes itself with its alarmingly cheerful and attentive service. And the food is of an equally high standard." -Time Out Singapore
