A veteran of Indian dining since the 80s, it doesn’t get much better than this. Founded by a couple in 1988 with the aim of bringing the best of North Indian cuisine to Singapore, Delhi’s Restaurant has grown from strength to strength and now operates in two locations in Little India - on Serangoon and Race Course Road. If the posh saffron and wood interior isn’t enough to entice you in, the smells from the kitchen certainly will. Think spicy masala and freshly cooked naan. With friendly servers and an excellent array of dishes, it’s easy to see why the pioneering Indian eatery has built up a loyal following over the last three decades.

The Romali Roti is a must-try. Translated to mean “handkerchief bread” this unique dish is made in an overturned wok to give it its delicate texture. The roti is paper-thin and soaks up the flavour of any curry that it is dipped into, making it the perfect accompaniment to the many curries on offer here. The Fish Curry is a great option for diners who are tired of the diluted versions offered at other restaurants. The curry is robust and spicy, and is best enjoyed with some steamed rice or naan bread to soak up all the flavour. (March 2019)
