If you’re a fan of mala hotpot (who isn’t?), you’ll want to book your seats at Da Long Yi. This Chinese export is well known for its fiery soup base, which comes with oil or butter to cut through the richness of the broth.

The food portions here are generous as well. Pick from the usual platters of US beef or wagyu, Kurobuta pork belly or loin, as well as slices of lamb. The golden straw mushrooms are a universal favourite among the selection of vegetables, along with leafy greens such as spinach or Chinese cabbage.

Fans of the six-second beancurd skin roll will also find this available on the menu here. Simply dip the golden beancurd roll into the soup to sop up all the flavours of the broth.
